Woche 10 Game Preview: Galaxy empfängt die Raiders Tirol
Frankfurt Galaxy und die Paris Musketeers sind spitzenreiter für platz 3 und 4 auf das BIG4-Wochenende in Frankfurt, mit den Prague Lions als Verfolger vom 5. Platz. Die Galaxy und die Musketeers teilten die Saisonserie 1:1 und befinden sich nun in einem Fernduell. Während die Paris Musketeers in den nächsten drei Wochen sowohl gegen die Nordic Storm als auch gegen die Munich Ravens antreten, hat die Galaxy zwei Heimspiele und nur einen Gegner aus den Top 3 vor sich.
In Woche 10 empfängt Frankfurt Galaxy die Raiders Tirol, die zum ersten Mal seit 2022 in die PSD Bank Arena kommen. Das österreichische Team ist weiterhin sieglos, führte aber sowohl gegen die Prague Lions als auch gegen die Paris Musketeers bis ins vierte Viertel, ehe es zu Niederlagen kam. In der vergangenen Woche kehrte Aaron Jackson, der führende Receiver der Raiders Tirol, nach seiner Verletzung zurück. Seine Verbindung mit Steven Krajewski gehört womöglich zu den gefährlichsten der Liga.
Frankfurt Galaxy kennt die Offense der Raiders Tirol – in Woche 4 hielt man sie bei nur 5 Punkten. Jaylen Clay schaltete Jackson aus und Chris Mulumba sackte Krajewski dreimal in jenem Spiel – doch das ist Monate her. Die Offense der Raiders Tirol verfügt inzwischen über mehr Variabilität – die Anpassung erfolgte in der Zeit ohne Aaron Jackson, dazu kamen neue Imports ins Team.
Nach nur 3 Punkten in der vergangenen Woche gegen München ist die Rückkehr zum eigenen Spiel für die Galaxy-Offense vor dem BIG4 von großer Bedeutung. Die gesamte Saison über war Frankfurt ein stark passorientiertes Team, doch das Luftspiel kann noch gefährlicher werden bei einem etablierten Laufspiel. Marvyn Bouembe kommt auf 201 Rushing Yards in den letzten drei Spielen und war in der vergangenen Woche der beste Offensivspieler. Mit Druck von Galaxy und Bouembe auf die Defense der Raiders Tirol am Boden entsteht mehr Raum in der Tiefe für Garbers und die Receiver.

Frankfurt Galaxy and the Paris Musketeers are front runners for 3rd and 4th place at the BIG4 weekend in Frankfurt, with the Prague Lions chasing them from the 5th spot. Galaxy and the Musketeers split the season series 1-1 and are now competing in absentia. While the Paris Musketeers will play both the Nordic Storm and the Munich Ravens in the next three weeks, Galaxy has two games at home and only one opponent from the top 3.
In week 10 Frankfurt Galaxy hosts the Raiders Tirol, who come to PSD Bank Arena for the first time since 2022. The Austrian team is still winless, but led both the Prague Lions and the Paris Musketeers into the fourth quarter before losing. Last week Aaron Jackson, the Raiders Tirol’s leading receiver, came back after injury. His connection with Steven Krajewski might be one of the most dangerous in the league.
Frankfurt Galaxy knows the Raiders Tirol offense – they held them to just 5 points in week 4. Jaylen Clay was able to shut down Jackson and Chris Mulumba sacked Krajewski 3 times in that game, but that was months ago. The Raiders Tirol offense now has more variety – they adapted while playing without Aaron Jackson and brought new imports to the team.
After just 3 points last week against Munich, it is important for the Galaxy offense to find their game again before playing in BIG4. The whole season Frankfurt has been a heavily passing team, but their air game can be even deadlier if they establish a good run. Marvyn Bouembe has 201 rushing yards in the last three games and was the best offensive player last week. If Galaxy and Bouembe can pressure the Raiders Tirol defense on the ground, there will be more space down the field for Garbers and the receivers.
