Woche 8 Game Recap: Frankfurt Galaxy gewinnt in Paris
Die Frankfurt Galaxy baut weiter Momentum auf und konnte am vergangenen Sonntag ihren zweiten Sieg in Folge feiern. Mit dem 31:24 Erfolg gegen die Paris Musketeers gleicht Frankfurt seine Bilanz auf 3:3 aus und sammelt wichtige Punkte, im Kampf um den bestmöglichen Playoff Seed.
Besonders die Offense überzeugte über das ganze Spiel hinweg. Quarterback Ethan Garbers fand konstant Lösungen gegen die Defense der Musketeers und beendete das Spiel mit 273 Passing Yards, vier Touchdowns und keiner Interception. Weitere wichtige Schlüsselspieler der Offense waren Paul Kavadia-Lenhardt, Adria Botella Moreno, Tyler Foster und der wieder fitte Brevin Easton, die jeweils einen Touchdown erzielten. Auch Nico Strahmann setzte mit 62 Receiving Yards wichtige Akzente, darunter ein ausschlaggebender 36-Yard-Catch im dritten Quarter.
Nach einer knappen 17:13 Führung zur Halbzeit war vorallem das dritte Viertel spielentscheidend. Dort nutzte die Galaxy ihre Chancen konsequent und schaffte es, mit zwei Touchdowns davonzuziehen.
Auch die Defense spielte erneut eine große Rolle am Erfolg des Teams und war in der Lage, das Laufspiel der Pariser Offense bei nur 35 Yards zu halten. Dazu setzte die Galaxy-Defense Quarterback Zach Edwards mit sechs Sacks konstant unter Druck. Dominique Mambo forcierte zwei Fumbles, während die Defense mehrere wichtige Fourth Downs stoppte und dadurch Paris lange aus der Endzone hielt.
Trotz eines späten Comebacks der Musketeers blieb Frankfurt kontrolliert genug, um das Spiel nach Hause zu bringen. Der Sieg in Paris gibt dem Team weiteres Selbstvertrauen und bringt Frankfurt durch den Sprung auf Platz drei in eine gute Ausgangslage für die zweite Saisonhälfte. The Frankfurt Galaxy continued to build momentum by securing their second consecutive victory last Sunday. With a 31–24 win over the Paris Musketeers, Frankfurt improved its record to 3–3 and collected valuable points in the race for the best possible playoff seeding.
The offense was particularly impressive throughout the game. Quarterback Ethan Garbers consistently found answers against the Musketeers‘ defense, finishing with 273 passing yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions. Other key contributors included Paul Kavadia-Lenhardt, Adria Botella Moreno, Tyler Foster, and the returning Brevin Easton, who each scored a touchdown. Nico Strahmann also made a significant impact with 62 receiving yards, highlighted by a crucial 36-yard reception in the third quarter.
After taking a narrow 17–13 lead into halftime, the third quarter proved to be the turning point. The Galaxy capitalized on their opportunities, scoring two touchdowns to pull away from the Musketeers.
The defense once again played a major role in the team’s success, holding Paris to just 35 rushing yards. Frankfurt’s defense also kept constant pressure on quarterback Zach Edwards, recording six sacks. Dominique Mambo forced two fumbles, while the defense came up with several crucial fourth-down stops to keep Paris out of the end zone for much of the game.
Despite a late comeback attempt by the Musketeers, Frankfurt remained composed and closed out the victory. The win in Paris gives the team even more confidence and moves the Galaxy into third place, putting them in a strong position heading into the second half of the season. This weekend, Frankfurt will face the undefeated Munich Ravens at Sportpark Unterhaching.
