Woche 13: Frankfurt Galaxy at Prague Lions – vier BIG4 Szenarien
Vier Szenarien für die Qualifikation der Frankfurt Galaxy zum BIG4 in Woche 13. Die Prague Lions sind nach der Niederlage gegen die Raiders Tirol in Woche 12 bereits ausgeschieden. In der vergangenen Saison war die Lage umgekehrt – damals hofften die Prague Lions auf die erste Playoff-Teilnahme ihrer Franchise-Geschichte. Frankfurt Galaxy zerstörte diese Hoffnungen. In dem Wissen um die Spannung zwischen beiden Teams wird Prague dasselbe versuchen.
Die Galaxy hat ihre Chancen weiterhin selbst in der Hand. Der einfachste Weg zur sicheren Playoff-Teilnahme ist ein Sieg. Beide Teams stehen derzeit unter Druck. Prague verlor seinen führenden Receiver Willie Patterson durch eine Verletzung und ist bereits aus dem BIG4-Rennen. Die Galaxy kämpft mit Verletzungen in der Offensive Line, und Zach Calzada bestreitet erst sein zweites Spiel in Europa.

Die anderen beiden Szenarien liegen außerhalb der Kontrolle der Galaxy. Frankfurt spielt im BIG4, wenn die Paris Musketeers die Raiders Tirol am Sonntag besiegen oder mit mehr als 13 Punkten gegen sie verlieren.
Von allen vier Szenarien zählt nur das erste. Frankfurt braucht nach drei Niederlagen in Folge einen Sieg. Vor den Playoffs ist ein Sieg im Auswärtsspiel der Woche 13 der moralische Schub, den die Galaxy vor dem BIG4 braucht.

Week 13: Four BIG4 scenarios
Four scenarios for Frankfurt Galaxy to qualify for the BIG4 in week 13. The Prague Lions are already eliminated after the loss to the Raiders Tirol in week 12. Last season the situation was reversed, and it was Prague hoping to play in the European playoffs for the first time in their history. Frankfurt Galaxy ruined those hopes. Knowing the tension between the two teams, Prague will try to do the same.
Galaxy are still in control of their chances. The easiest way to guarantee a playoff appearance is to win. Both teams are on the back foot right now. Prague lost its leading receiver Willie Patterson to injury and is already out of the BIG4. Galaxy is dealing with injuries on the offensive line, and Zach Calzada will play only his second game in Europe.
Zach needs to watch out for Jan Krs and Alexandar Borković, who had interceptions in the last two games for Prague. However, the Prague Lions defense as a unit is not very stable — they allowed the most points of any team this season. The Frankfurt defense has been more consistent. Despite allowing more than 40 points in back-to-back games, Galaxy has the third-best defense in the league. This could be a crucial factor. If the Prague Lions win on Sunday, Frankfurt still gets a BIG4 spot with a loss of fewer than 23 points.
The other two scenarios are out of Galaxy’s control. Frankfurt plays in the BIG4 if the Paris Musketeers beat the Raiders Tirol on Sunday, or lose to them by more than 13 points.
Out of all four scenarios only the first one matters. Frankfurt needs to grab a win after losing three straight. Going into the playoffs, winning the week 13 away game is the moral boost Galaxy needs before the BIG4.
