Galaxy zieht ins BIG4 ein und nimmt mehr als nur einen Sieg mit
Von allen Teams, deren Playoff-Schicksal sich in Woche 13 entschied, befand sich Frankfurt Galaxy mit einer 98-prozentigen Chance in der komfortabelsten Ausgangslage. Der Sieg war vor allem für das Selbstvertrauen und die richtige Stimmung nach drei deutlichen Niederlagen in den Wochen 9 bis 12 von Bedeutung.
Das Endergebnis von 37:34 spiegelt nicht die Energie und Spielfreude wider, die die Galaxy auf dem Feld zeigte. Mit einem 100-Yard-Kickoff-Return-Touchdown von Ahsan Moore zu Beginn hatte Frankfurt das Spiel unter Kontrolle. 182 Rushing Yards, 183 Passing Yards, nur 5 Incompletions, 3 Touchdown-Pässe von Zach Calzada, kein Turnover, kein zugelassener Sack und 100 Prozent an Third Downs in der zweiten Halbzeit – dann, wenn es am wichtigsten war.

Galaxy Qualifies for the BIG4 and Gets More Than Just a Win
Out of all the teams whose playoff fate was decided in week 13, Frankfurt Galaxy was in the most comfortable position with a 98% chance. Getting the win was more important for the confidence and for setting the right mood after three big losses in weeks 9–12.
The final score of 37-34 does not reflect the energy and fun Galaxy had on the football field. Starting with a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown by Ahsan Moore, Frankfurt was in control of the game. 182 rushing yards, 183 passing yards, just 5 incompletions, 3 passing touchdowns by Zach Calzada, no turnovers, zero sacks allowed and 100% on third downs in the second half, when it mattered most.
Ahsan Moore talked about the energy shift in the postgame interview:
“Offense firing up defense, defense firing up offense.”
The only thing that hurt Galaxy and allowed Prague to score 34 points was Jaylon Henderson’s running ability. With 88 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns, Henderson’s QB draws and scrambles were lethal on third downs. At the same time, it is the best preparation for Galaxy before facing Russell Tabor and the Munich Ravens’ rushing offense in the first EFA playoff game.
The quarterback change, the roster adjustments, the three-game losing streak — all over, both through the win and the energy. Looking at how Galaxy played this game, all the recent problems are behind them. Now the focus is on football, each other and the upcoming playoff German Derby.
